I thought the Likud remark merely related to his rather strong support for Israel, and his hawkishness in that regard. Nothing wrong with calling someone Likud- it's not as if it's a racial epithet. It's merely a legal political party.

Can you explain why you think it is pure unadulterated bigotry?

I think you are wrong about the coming election. I think Lamont will win. Lieberman will get very few democrats, but he will split the republicans- so the republican candidate will lose by more than he normally would. Just a guess of course.
