Petz, I really don't know what the formula is for margin requirement when writing naked options positions. I think the formula is rather complex because once in an IRA I was required to have more cash on hand than an assignment would have required to purchase the shares in the event of a PUT assignment. Why would I need more cash than the full purchase price? Go figure.
