It is one of the stranger tech stocks I've ever watched closely - I understand why an investor might not go long OVTI, but why they would go short against a profitable, cash rich growing company I really have no idea - there have to be better short candidates out there.....

Look at the tech charts of the semis; even some other non semi techs. They look very similar to OVTI. Stocks like IVAC, OPTC, AMD, MRVL, BRCM......all profitable but all tied to the consumer. The macro fear is that the consumer is tapped out and that tech stocks will suffer even more in the future. I disagree and am picking some up as they put in bottoms. The fall/winter is tech's season.......when tech stocks traditionally do best.

I asked about OVTI only to see if there was a micro issue on top of the macro that was effecting the stock.
