Still and all, third parties do happen. Otherwise, there would still be candidates from the Federalists or the Whigs.

But I'd rather see "them" start a third party rather than "us," for the reasons you mention.

I don't really think John McCain has much of a chance, though, but maybe Rudy -- except he could maybe swing the Republican nomination if the hard right got behind Tancredo.
