The case design was from a sunnyvale firm who presented apple execs with several options, from which apple chose a winner. The electronics were designed and manufactured in China by another company. Apple engineers wrote the gui for the ipod and desktop software. give me a few minutes and i'll dig up the names.. a friend of mine works at apple in a totally unrelated department but gave me the lowdown a while back. ----- If the ipod was completely oem'd
