... come come, do not be shy. The CIA was right in the midst of matters and anti-matters. Or does your memory fade with passage of time. Meaning, Tibet, source of 80% of the water resource for the rest of China,

Gee.. using that logic, then Egypt should feel completely justified in invading and annexing Sudan, from where nearly 100% of their water is derived.

mbarron.net

Or Iraq would be justified in invading an occupying Syria and Turkey, from where nearly 100% of their water is derived.

And certainly Israel would be justified in attacking and annexing Syria and Lebanon, because most of their surface water comes from the Jordan river.

And did you mean 80% of China's total, or 30%??

tibet.ca

Or maybe you meant that Tibetan waters account for 80% of China's CLEAN (and non-polluted) waters, since some 70% of China's rivers are consider polluted.

And now they want to divert that water to W. China for irrigation purposes.

As for Britain participation in the "great game", one of the major policies initiatives after WWII by the United States was to demand that Britain, Holland, Belgium, and France deconlonize (with the stupid exception of French-Indochina that we later came to regret since it gave rise to Ho Chi Minh.)

It was US intervention that prevented the British, French, and Israelis from plotting to seize the Suez Canal in 1956.

In the mean time, babies are dying, killed by men in armor, and daughters are getting raped, by men after golf game and killing, bravely, when shielded in armor, against sleeping parents unable to protect babies and daughters. And it is not happening in Tibet, which actually is not a current topic, since 30k innocents did not die there this year.

And how many died under Saddam's regime? And how many of those Iraqis are dying as a result of a counter-invasion by Islamic militants and former Ba'thists trying to overthrow the duly elected government of Iraq?

Yeah.. there are some disgusting acts being perpetrated by American soldiers, and I hope they are severely punished for their violations. I certainly hope the soldiers who committed that alledged rape, mutilation, and burning of that 14 year old Iraqi girl, if convicted, are executed. The crime is just that heinous and discipline must be restored so other soldiers do not develop the belief that they can commit such atrocities.

But where are the punishments for the assassinations, hostage takings, and beheadings on the part of the insurgents? Do their own legal representiatives in their Shura councils impose punishments for the atrocities committed by their own people?

And btw, what's up with the Chinese clubbing 50,000 dogs merely because they failed to properly innoculate them against rabies?

We can do this "tit-for-tat" forever Jay, but it will get us nowhere.

But I really want to see China develop economically and politically, so that they can become a responsible member of the global community, rather than displaying a continuing tendency to increase their geographical territories.

And China's unwillingness to rein in their client state, N. Korea, is representative of the desire of some Chinese leaders to continue to use it as a pawn in their "great game" they are trying to play out in Asia. And don't tell me that China doesn't have "pull" in N. Korea. They have plenty, but they CHOOSE not to utilize it.
