Peaceful resolution of what? Israeli objective to eliminate Hezbollah in Lebannon has failed. Israel has lost the image of invincibility. Lebanon has suffered enormously. Hezbollah by hanging on has been strengthened. This could not have happened under any other administration. This is a failure of the Bush administration on the same scale as its failures in Iraq and in NO. Hezbollah will continue to hate Israel and Israelis. But, there will be peace between Israel and Lebanon under any other administration. It will be up to another US administration to address root causes and use imagination and creativity to find a more permanent peace in that region. There will be peace in that region under any US administration other than the current one. Peace keeping military will be patrolling the Israeli and Lebanon border for at least two and half years and until a permanent peace accord is reached. This is of course purely my opinion. I have no way to prove it one way or another. I will be very happy if this administration proves me wrong on all my thoughts and opinions and they are able to lead to a peaceful settlement.
