The fires were not in the basement when the buildings collapsed. And the jet fuel fires were not hot enough to melt the structural steel to cause a collapse. Controlled demolition melted the steel to cut the supports in the basements so the buildings could collapse. That steel had to be cut by charges or there could have been no collapse.
