Lane3, you're good with wordsmithing.... Could you see how you might clarify this terminology....?
Various people, and various protesters say they are "anti-war" (i.e. John Kerry, Howard Dean, Cindy Sheehan, and many others)
So do the people who say they are "anti war" mean they are "anti-ALL-war" ???
Or could some of them mean: "anti-some of the wars, some of the time"....
Or could some of them mean: "anti-war because it was Vietnam, and now anti-war because it is Iraq..."
SO, if someone is anti-war, how would/should they describe themselves in parades, protests, newspaper articles, TV interviews, books, etc etc etc.....
Should they describe themselves "anti-war, any kind-of-war" including "anti-war-on-terror" or if someone really is "anti-war" (perhaps Quaker etc) how would they be able to describe themselves if they really supported the "war on terrorism" to help rid the world of terrorism....?
How would anyone know....?
Today, it's hard to know.... We hear the term "anti-war" every day in the MSM....but are terrorists the only ones that are pro-anti-terrorism.....? |
