They took the batteries out and threw them in as separate box, also separate box for chargers. They did not buy minutes to activate them. I bought a car charger for my phone, $5, but I saw it for $10 and more in other shops. Batteries are not cheap.

Could be resale separately or something devious. They are looking for others buying 20 phones etc.

IMO this is a failure of the media AGAIN. The cops should be able to get to the bottom of this quickly with dialogue with the suspects. They should be able to give an explanation of what they are up to with evidence, ie should be able to explain their actions if they are innocent. This case should be solved by now. Perhaps their (families etc) failure to explain themselves to the media is an indication of their guilt, or it could be the media is too stupid to figure this out.

This whole situation should be explained by now by anyone with some common sense, maybe that is what is missing in this case.
