Yes, the Israeli public is not at all pleased with Olmert's handling of the war. Look, I'm not saying he did a brilliant job, or even a very competent job. I'm only saying that it looks like Israel won a military victory anyway. But that is never enough for Israel because Nasrallah can claim "victory" because he's still alive and fighting.

The Arabs suffer such an achievement gap that their standards for victory are pathetically low. Israel's standards are exceptionally high. There is such a difference between the standards that Israel can do much worse than expected, and Hezbullah much better than expected, and Hezbullah can still lose handily by any conventional measure. That's all I'm saying.
