Ted, The Zionists decided to take over land that was fairly well occupied. Not smart.

There is a wealth of history that led up to the formation of Israel and beyond. It's really easy to look back at the formation of Israel in a vacuum and say it shouldn't have happened, but that would ignore just about everything else that was happening in the world at the time.

Like I said before, the Western world was drawing arbitrary borders in the Middle East well into the middle of the 20th century. Hindsight is 20/20, but I still think we should live with the borders we have today. If the Palestinians want statehood, I'm all for it if we could also guarantee peace in the region using U.N. peacekeepers.

Otherwise, we should just let Israel fight its own battles and not tell them how to fight it. JCP thinks they'll be OK with their 200+ nukes, but I'd hate to see them use the first one.
