It's a *process* that followed... leading to more and more certainty that an idea correctly describes an aspect of reality.

But no theory is 'perfect truth' (unlike religious beliefs).

Theory is ALWAYS subject to be over-turned and (hopefully) replaced with a *better* theory if and when new and superior evidence becomes available.

Thus science concerns itself with the natural, the testable, world.

The supernatural is beyond it's reach.
