There was an Op Ed in the WSJ today that pointed out that federal employees received a 38% increase in wages from 2000 to 2005, roughly twice the rate of almost any other industry group. The rate of voluntary separation is less than 1/4 the rate in private sector employment.

Average federal average wages are now 2 x (twice) the amount of private sector average wages.

Couple over payment, under performance and lifetime employment; why is the federal budget growing so rapidly?
