That ruling doesn't surprise me at all.

What will this do to the default rates of lenders in the area going forward?

I suppose there are some people who've been paying their mortgage thinking they were going to get insurance coverage and now they'll walk away. That's a hard one to quantify.

Do you think there are lenders who didn't take writeoffs because they were hoping for insurance money that will now suck it up?
