The "incompetence" excuse and the "they let it happen but weren't involved beyond that" excuse are limited hangouts.
They are limited hangouts that are being pushed VERY hard because the neocon heavyweights responsible for 9/11 know the consequences if the truth becomes widely known.
Was bin laden involved? He very well could have been. But he has fulfilled his limited role as scapegoat/bogeyman.

There is no way within the laws of physics that the concrete of the buildings would begin to pulverize within seconds of starting to fall as a result of the buildings collapsing on their own due to fire and impact.
As for building 7...no impact and very limited fire.

There is no way within the laws of physics that there was enough heat generated by the fires in the buildings and/or the act of the buildings themselves falling that pools of molten steel would be created and remain molten for several weeks at sub-basement levels.
