What in the world would possess you to make such an assertion, let alone "understand" it? Of course I read Krugman. We couldn't be having this conversation if I didn't read him.

I don't read Krauthaummer (sp??).

And what in the world does Krauthammer have to do with anything? Keep posting stuff like that and I'll have to reevaluate your distance from the dreaded threshold. <g>

Perhaps we should both chuckle over the condescension in those two sentences.

Didn't feel condescending when I wrote it. Still doesn't seem so to me. I'm simply stating that this is my argument but I'd be receptive to an effective counter should you have one.

You don't read him so you haven't read his work on health care insurance and on social security issues.

I recall that he made some excellent contributions on social security, some clarifications. Don't recall what he had to say about health care. But then I rarely recall who said what, only the what.
