SumTotal(R) Systems (Nasdaq:SUMT), its partners and a
line-up of experts and visionaries will bring the future of learning
and performance to HR and training professionals at TotalConnection
2006. TotalConnection 2006 lands at the Fairmont San Jose hotel in San
Jose, Calif., from September 25-27, 2006.

"This event offers our 1,500 customers from around the globe an
unparalleled chance to network, comment on the direction of our
product," said Don Fowler, chief executive of SumTotal, "and see the
future of what learning can be."

Headlining the user conference is renowned global futurist, social
scientist, author, and sought-after business advisor Dr. James Canton.
Canton's keynote address, "The Extreme Future: Top Trends that will
Re-shape Business and Society," will provide a look at the top trends
that will shape the future, including the future of climate, energy,
technology, the workforce, security, the economy, life sciences,
demographics, entertainment and lifestyles.

In addition to Dr. Canton's keynote, TotalConnection 2006 features
e-learning, workplace performance and training experts from BMW,
