"Why else is this country so one-sided when it comes to Israel?" Your america excludes the red states, remember. It also as we find out from folks like syl, excludes Jews who have a natural affinity for israel. Israel for better or worse is Red state nation. Most americans dont want to take any shit from terrorists and either do the israelis. Blue state americans may be correct on some aspects of policy--Iraq is a mess but for reasons far different than the dem left would have us believe. The euros on the otoh are like the chinese and russians, who play with the future of the world by cozying up to terror supporting regimes such as iran. Americans just dont go for that crap as it smacks of appeasement. Somewhere between preemptive and appeasement, and between standing up to terror and diplomacy lies a middle ground that we should seek. But thats impossible today because of folks like rove and cheney, and pelosi and and dean. Where are folks like colin powell and george mitchell?
