You had it right the first time, "No thanks is necessary." The notion of "no thanks" is treated as a singular item in the common vernacular, informal, and idiomatic speech, and is known as a singular reference to those for whom English is a first language... so much for that self hating shittfaced moron, his first language is babble... he never has anything to say, but loves to criticize others and hear himself yak, yak, yak...
