The belated part is interesting and perhaps the crux of the matter as the IPR and Nokia's liberal use of it seems no longer in question

Naaah, the belated part is irrelevant.

Q was not part of the GSM, GPRS, or EDGE standards groups. It wasn't obligated to disclose squat; NOK was instead obligated not to infringe. Disclosure was made but technically it looks like Q didn't have to.

The belated business is a spinning Finnish red herring.

Nokia has been apparently infringing for years. If it doesn't get a license from Q, it might be found to have infringed for years on all modes it sells. OK, maybe not on the cans and string spectrum free mode.

If it is found to have done it knowingly, the damages will be trebled.

Shoot, bro', you and I might end up with the keys to the Nokia executive crapper.

OK, OK, Q probably needs some GSM IPR........but who's yo' daddy at the end of the day? Has Q ever told you a big whopping lie like the Finns do every day?
