Glen, I don't understand this. MM's can't see stops. If they could, they could trigger your sells easily - making you sell your stock cheap. It's limit orders that they see.

I've never been able to execute a stop on a Nasdaq stock with eSchwab. It was my major reason for going to Lombard. But I have found that discount online brokerages often hire people with no experience and put them right on the phone. I once placed a stop sell with Lombard, via phone. The broker (obviously new) said "you mean you want to sell below the market? I don't get it." I explained to her that it was a protective trailing stop.

If you do get clarification from eSchwab, please post. Also, try to talk to a trading manager, not a phone broker. Thanks.
