OFF TOPIC: (Israel: When History and Prophecy meet)
My thoughts ....
Israel will be a constant reminder to the Godless. A stumbling block to the Godless, a great sign of inspiration and faith to the God Fearing. Even if your the world's biggest (most ignorant) skeptic and believe the bible was written in 1611 by King James, or if you believe it was penned in 400 AD by Jerome in Latin, or perhaps you believe in the Greek Septuagint's authenticity, regardless, the prophecies concerning the return of Israel and the coming wars are an intellectual challenge for anyone honest enough to read it and contemplate how that little piece of real estate came back into existence inhabited by Jews after their great diaspora of 1900 + years. Now it occupies our headlines and is truly the burdensome stone foretold. It will continue to be the focus of world attention and will draw many nations to it. READ AND LEARN ... Isaiah 11:10 He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth. (What is a banner used for - To "GET OUR ATTENTION")
And
Jeremiah 16:15: "However, the days are coming," declares the LORD, "when men will no longer say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,' 15 but they will say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.' For I will restore them to the land I gave their forefathers.
I didn't write it, I am just the messenger ... pretty straight forward if you ask me .... Intellectually, that was a pretty lucky guess , aye.... or perhaps, as he said ...
Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.
I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.
From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do.
Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, you who are far from righteousness.
I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel. |
