longnshort, I wasn't an environmental guy last decade either. But things change and now I am. Anyone with a brain sees that energy-independence is at the very least a trifecta and is a no-brainer. Gore jumped on the bandwagon and realized that with his clout he could do more than the average citizen like myself, so he did. That's what a good leader does. Bad leaders pay lip service to very real problems and do nothing. That's what we have in Congress and the White House right now...bad leaders who do nothing at best or when they do something, it's exactly the wrong thing.
