"Toll Brothers, with projects from Viera to Jupiter, announced Wednesday that it is experiencing a sharp slowdown in sales. The homebuilder said that the number of contracts in Florida and the Carolinas dropped to 176 in the third quarter ended July 31 from 593 a year earlier. The backlog fell to 1,596 units from 2,009 between the time periods."
