Both Israel and Hezbollah commit war crimes as their stock in trade. If we used your logic, we would not enforce any laws anywhere because we can't yet enforce it with Hezbollah. The drug dealers in America must love you.

If you believe in the rule of law, you enforce it wherever you can -- that is one of the minimum criteria for democracy. It is one of the reasons we failed so completely in Iraq the day the looting began.
