Market Fragments:

Sentiment has just made an abrupt turn and is now quite bullish. Lots of calls are being bought. The consensus view is that the stock market has finally turned the corner: New highs are coming.

Investors are hoping tame readings on price increases at the wholesale and consumer levels will convince the Federal Reserve to again leave rates unchanged when it meets next month. A soft landing is currently being priced into the market, along with Fed easing later this year. A slide in the price of crude oil this week has helped the market too.

Some say, it looks darkest before dawn. But it is always calm before the big storm too. Great danger lurks. The way the market prepares for a big decline is by destroying most short sellers first. That's what the market has been doing this week.

Market Fragments represents a piece of this great world, which I call Life.
