Sr K, about 4 years ago I had my Dell Inspiron battery replaced free because of a recall. I seem to remember they gave me an extra battery. The same laptop also reuired replacement of the HD and display. All those warranty repairs went smoothly. Still, I would not buy a Dell today because the latest battery recall says they are slow learners.
