Man dies at State Fair of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning DES MOINES, Iowa Officials say a young man found dead in his camper at the Iowa State Fair apparently died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Nineteen-year-old Travis Van Beek of Rock Valley was found yesterday afternoon in his trailer, which was parked near the race track. He was to participate in tractor pulls before they were canceled due to track conditions. Officials say Van Beek had been sleeping in his trailer with a generator running. An autopsy is scheduled, and officials says there's no sign foul play.
