Strange day today in metals. Gold down and silver flat, but all base metals screaming: Nickel $14.34!! kitcometals.com Stocks are doing better than one would expect given it is Friday and the PM's are flat: HBM is screaming, DIB looking good, and some other stocks seem to be rising from the dead like ABI and RDV. UC continues to march forward. Maybe we are moving out of the summer doldrums and into our normal fall upturn? I would sure like to see zinc take the same road as nickel. Maybe soon, we are about to go under 180,000 tons on the LME. The coach's heads up regarding lead seems to be right on as lead stocks are really falling hard.
