I did see the swimming faux pas. It touched off some debate in my mind. Is it racist to say that white men can't jump? Is it racist to say that blacks from Kenya, etc., are the fastest runners in the world? Is it racist to say that Japanese and Korean women make the best pearl divers? (Or sexist?) Is it racist to say Koreans love kimchee? I guess what I am asking is, are all stereotypes offensive? How about saying that cops love donuts?
