Dell has an ability and the information to contact most their customers directly by mail or email. They contact me all of the time thru both methods wanting to sell me something. They also have a parts list for every computer they build. Why couldn't they have notified every customer with a defective battery, or do they hope not everyone will claim a replacement battery. Oh, excuse me, that would be more customer service than they have in their business model to disaster. Rap
