AQ started under Bush I. Ask Tony Snow, he blamed Bush I this past week. You are totally misinformed. You have to stop opening up your head and letting Rove pour propaganda into your brain. The Clinton administration tried to take out AQ. It also gave the information, and its 'hair on fire' concern about AQ to the Bushies who were only interested in Iraq and in stealing from the US taxpayer. Whereas Clarke's position was cabinet level under Clinton, it was demoted under Bush. Clarke couldn't even get Condie, the most incompetent NSA ever, to hold a simple meeting between shoe shopping and hair combing. Dubyette, reading the PDBs and intelligence information decided to go on a vacation to clear brush in Crawford. This is what the juvenile delinquent decided to do instead of job #1, protecting the US. Since then, Dubyette has decided he really doesn't want to get OBL. He's stated in public that he's not interested. Gee.
