I know we are talking about multiple topics, but it would be nice if your responses where on topic to the particular topic presented in a post, or if not you made it clear you where changing the topic.

The standards in question in the posts where standards relating to trade. If you want to talk about Israel or war crimes, then please reply to one of my other posts, not a post in the thread about trade.

Getting back on the point - I said that nothing like the WTO is necessary in the absence of protectionism. I've been told that not having such an institution would make us like Somalia and put trade back in the stone age. Apparently even if we didn't raise protectionist barriers, and didn't have other countries raise them against us. Do you support those assertions?
