Bush and Enron were extremely close. Enron had very little to do with Clinton. The rightwing tries to cover up Bush's close corrupt relationship with Enron by pointing to the fact CLinton once played in the same golf tournament as Ken Lay. On different teams. Against each other. Like that's some kind of political alliance. Enron and Lay gave Bush more money than any corp has ever given a politician in US history. They let the Bush campaign use their offices, their private jets, anything, carte blanche. They even hired Christian rightwing organizer Ralph Reed (also guilty in Abramoff) for 150 K as an "energy consultant", as if he knew anything about energy. That was an illegal payoff to Bush.

The only democrats Lay and Enron gave a lot of money to were Lieberman and Bentsen. Bentson returned that money. Lieberman never did.
