It doesn't have much merit at all. The Geneva Conventions exist to protect all parties. We ignore them at our peril.

And you base this conclusion on? Her ruling was well supported in case law and the Constitution. I suppose you can argue that in a post 9/11 world, the Constitution is quaint and out-moded, but...
