Of course there were phone calls from the planes. Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the families of the passengers. Bush convinced them to take part in the conspiracy as well. Bush is a genius. He can talk anyone into anything, including getting a dozen entirely different families to say that they talked to their loved ones on planes via phone while the hijacking was taking place. Wow, I guess Bush really is a "mastermind"!
