It's way better than they ever imagined. Record profits. Public scrutiny? By who? Not this government. Sure you'll get a few howlers, but they will paint tham as tin foil types that don't understand "market dynamics". LOL

It's simple supply and demand, they'll say. What you don't see is that it's their hand on the supply spigot. And on the demand side, markets can be influenced by strategic buying as well, buoying demand, which then creates a perceived shortage which can bid prices upward. Course when you have your hand on the supply spigot too, then it's even easier to throttle prices in your favor. LOL

One think that I have been watching is the biofuel prices. I see that they keep raising the price of them right along with petro fuels. Right now they are along for the ride rather than stemming the tide.

Electric cars anyone?
