dustbunny, I had dinner last night with Vasili & Eric from COTR. They filled me in on playing before the Bill Clinton speech here in Seattle last month. The local Democratic party had to submit a copy of their cd's to the secret service a month or so in advance, and they gave them the thumbs down. The local dems had to fight hard to get them to be able to play...but the secret service refused to let them play Guantanimo Bay! Vasili & Eric discussed playing it anyway, and they said they would have if it were not for the fact they would have bitten the hand of those that fought to get them the gig. The said they enjoyed chatting it up with you, Kathleen, and friends. They really enjoyed Albuquerque, they said they will be back next year, playing at a different larger venue...no date yet. Eric & Incarnacion are headed to Seville, Espana on Sept 8th for 2 months of flamenco study. oh...they loved your report on their show in Albuqueque, I sent it to them, it will probably be on their website sometime soon. ole.
