If the arabs were in position to dictate peace with israel, what do you think it would look like?

I don't want to see that position occur. Israel needs to stay mostly in the drivers seat, but with the Arabs as copilots. I wish Blair was top dog with Bush as his sidekick rather than what we have. It will interesting to see if he can make any progress. Not much if Bush is working against it would be my guess.

Should israel be driven into the sea be taken figuratively or literally?

From the nutcases it is literal, but from many figureheads I think it is spin. We need to nudge the spin towards moderation. I truly wish that Israel had shown great restraint in dealing with the kidnapped soldiers, simply because that solution has not be tried much by Israel. Israel could have won a significant public relations battle with careful handling, and bolstered the cause of moderate Arab voices. Instead...
