Neither the US or Mexico is at war with the other Ms. Hawkette. Pay attention! If Israel's democracy is 'fledgling' what is the democracy in Lebanon which it just attacked and tried to bomb into submission? What is it doing to the democratic support for Hamas? After all, the US has put up with--as if there was any choice-- theocratic, anti-Israeli elected officials and parties in Iraq.
