So why did Bill Clinton, a frequent jogger, end up needing quintuple bypass surgery?
Because there is absolutely NOTHING more important than proper diet ... avoiding trans fat toxins, high fructose corn syrup, and excess fat, and getting enough complex carbs., monounsaturates, CLA, PUFAS, and anti-oxidants to de-oxidize the vital cholesterol in the blood. As has been amply demonstrated in many animal tests only oxidized
The truth is no matter how much exercise you get, you desperately need a good diet. In addition modern day physicians need to wake up to the fact that heart disease or rather circulatory system disease is an inflammatory condition that in 40% of cases is triggered by low level blood infections such as chlamidyae pneumoniae (not the social disease) and others and allergies, and treat accordingly all hypercholesterolaemics with tests for blood borne bacteria which would be of an otherwise sub-pathogenic nature. With the statistics we have now, evidence for treatment or testing is the CVD, not any other symptom.
I do acknowledge that frequent aerobic level exercise, i.e. brisk walks are a very, very good thing to do. Some physicians claim that this, attending weight loss, is far better for people with heart histories so to speak, than diuretics, and BP medications. It just is not bad for you, and not bad for you in such a way as that it cannot fail to improve most conditions.
