"So why did Bill Clinton, a frequent jogger, end up needing quintuple bypass surgery?"

I could equally point out people with perfect diets who are obese and otherwise ill because they don't walk!

I was not minimalizing the value of healthy eating or supplements. I am a huge advocate of both. Rather, I am pointing to an activity which will normalize weight and militate against states of disease--without the need for excrutiating logic--symbolic or otherwise! One assumes that the commitment to take a 30 minute walk once or twice a day would reflect self care at other levels, as well. If one takes my suggestion to walk seriously, then it is expected that such a one is not walking while puffing on a cigarette--kapish!?

Many people are incapable of maintaining a healthy plan. For these people I say simply walk a healthy path until you can figure things out...<g>
