The Islamic fundamentalists see us as Christian Crusaders that despoil there land, especially since we helped Saudi in the Gulf War. I stand firm that Bush is totally wrong when he says that he is fighting terrorists in Iraq so that they don't carry the war to America. This is total nonesense as they are content once the infidel leaves there sacred lands where Mohammed once walked.

You are right about one thing. Your lack of knowledge about how religion is an important element in this war. In Iraq the majority of killing is being done by Iraqi Shites and Sunnis- over differences in opinion in there Muslim beliefs and to run the infidel (the U.S.) out of their land.

Many intellectuals and retired generals have sent Bush letters dutifully signed telling him that we need to redeploy. How can Bush and his cronies buck people who have fought wars and are professional warriors and analysts?

Aftganistan, yes- Iraq-no. Bush said his reasons best "They tried to kill my Dad." Just what you would expect from someone who is totally ignorant of world affairs. You can argue against this position all you want but look what it is doing to our national debt, jobs being shipped overseas, pensions dissappearing, high gasoline prices. Our dollar is going into freefall shortly. See how you like it then when we are run into bankruptcy through inflation caused by Bush and the FED running the money printing presses to no end. And our manufacturing base almost totally gone. And the most important. Over 2500 of our brave soldiers dying not for freedom but for King Bush and his neocon cabal. Over 10,000 maimed for life and 100,000 dead Iraquis. It's too high a price to pay for a man who lied his way into this debacle at the destruction of us all in our near future.

I see us in a war against Islam starting with Iran in a short time. It will be too late then. Remember what I said GZ.
