I don't know about shows that "won't" be available on the Web, but for my money, based on what I've experienced these past couple of days, the list should include all popular network cable news services. All of them. Last night I had a hankering to find out what was going on around the world, given that all normal newscasts earlier and throughout the day had focused on one story, and only one story: The alleged JonBenet murderer's return from Thailand.
When I turned the TV set on last night at around 7PM I found that the big three (CNN, MSNBC and FOX News) "ALL" had one-hour specials between 7 and 8 PM featuring this story about a weirdo who is accused of committing an ancient crime, which, it its own day, was enough to give the OJ Simpson and Lacy Peterson stories, combined, a run for their money.
And each of these channels aired this story for the entire 7 to 8 time slot, EXCLUSIVELY! I thought I might get some relief by turning to CNN's secondary channel, Headline News and to the A&E Channel, but no such luck. I just found more of the same: More nonsense about this guy with a vacuous look on his face.
That such attention should be paid to this story at the expense of starving viewers of local and world events is a freakin' disgrace! |
