Earlier today in Richmond, at a "New Southern" restaurant called Comfort, had fried okra prepared an entirely different way, fried whole, pretty much the way fried okra is always prepared in batter, but not sliced into little rounds.

Quite tasty.

That was for dinner. For lunch, at Picadilly, whole steamed okra.

It's just the right time of year for okra.

Either you like it, or you don't.

But I don't eat the stem caps, myself. Grab them by the stem and nibble all the way up to the cap, but discard the caps.
