You just exposed the underbelly of the radical environmentalist movement. They conveniently forget that the US is only one country out of many able to exploit the earth, but we are the only one who implements environmental controls to the extent that we do. The others are limited by their technical expertise, or they would plunder everything.

For instance Cuba is now drilling for oil between Cuba an Florida. If we allow them, they will extract the available oil, and our available resources will be depleted to the benefit of a tyranny.
