I have this piece of land - 40 acres - all fenced in, where I'm going to open a cat ranch. The plan is to stock the ranch with 100,000 females and enough toms to breed them all. A yield of 1,000,000 cats a year is anticipated.
The cats, as they reach full size will be humanely slaughtered, skinned and their pelts sold to fur lined glove manufacturers for .90 each. This will, therefore, produce an annual gross profit of $900,000.
The first problem we will encounter is what do we feed the cats all year and still make a profit. The answer is rats. No one cares about rats and we should have no problem getting 1,000,000 rats. They reproduce 10 times faster than cats so the feeding issue for the cats is resolved. We will simply run a fence down the middle of the property and have the cats on one side and the rats on the other.
The second problem is: What can we feed the rats? This is a critical issue since they produce no income at all. Then it hit me!
After we skin the cats, we have a useless carcass left over that is a feast for the rats. So we feed the rats to the cats and the cats to the rats. We clear $900,000 a year net!
