Republicans, Democrats, the President, Congress, the Senate, are simply yes-men (and women) who have learned to do what they're told. They are made to feel powerful and famous and they are all well-off for their compliant obedieince. That is the pay-off. That's what is in it for them. But they are not really in control, they only have the appearance of being in control.
