Btw, if you're stuck in the middle of nowhere and you have spare batteries, the Zen, can still keep on ticking while the Nano, once out of charge, is dead in the water. I personally hope Apple can update the entire iPod line with easy to replace batteries. I don't believe in throwing out a perfectly working piece of technology just because the battery can't be recharged further.<<

Good points. Being stuck with a dead nano is no fun.
On the other hand, I love the nano's very small size, and would hate to see it bulked up to the point where it would accomodate AAAs. I also consider it more convenient to just plug in the nano when I need to recharge it, instead of having to pull out batteries and put them into an external charger.
I used rechargable AAs with my old digital camera, and I found it a little cumbersome.
All in all, I'm satisfied with the results of the engineering choices Apple has made with the iPod line.
